Patrick made our night absolutely unforgettable! He was very knowledgeable about the menu, very kind, and was very good with understanding social cues; when to approach the table and when to give us time. Absolutely amazing food as well. This place was phenomenal. Today was a very special day for me and my now wife, as today she got to carry my last name for the first time. They were very welcoming and I have never had a restaurant go so above and beyond. They were very accommodating and they were very nice. Nick, our waiter, was one of the nicest and most genuine people I have ever met. The entire staff was amazing and I couldn’t have asked for better service or food. They really made our special day feel even more amazing. Thank you to everyone who was working tonight and thank you to Benchmark for showing us love even though it was our first time going.
Benchmark – Perrysburg, Ohio The evening began with the Pretty in Pink mocktail. Pineapple, grenadine, grapefruit, and faba combined for something fresh, bright, and lightly creamy. It felt indulgent yet balanced, the kind of drink that wakes up your palate without being too sweet. Next came Beech Please! with pineapple, orange, lime, orgeat, and grenadine. The flavor leaned tropical and sunny, a mix of citrus and sweetness that felt like a short escape to the islands. The Whipped Feta followed, served with herb and garlic-infused oil and warm ciabatta. However good you expect this appetizer to be, it’s even better. The feta was rich and silky, perfectly offset by the fragrant oil and crusty bread. Then the standout arrived: Blackened Salmon with blue crab, house-made spaghetti, Calabrian cream, and asparagus. The salmon was cooked to a perfect medium, tender and flavorful. The Calabrian cream tied everything together beautifully, creating a dish that was both comforting and refined. Service was exceptional. Emily, the manager, along with servers Kyle and Patrick, made the evening smooth and welcoming. Benchmark continues to prove why it’s one of the best dining experiences in Perrysburg. Opened in 2017, Benchmark has been a cornerstone of chef Jeff Dinnebeil’s vision to raise the bar for Northwest Ohio dining. It’s more than a steakhouse, combining chef-driven technique, hand-cut meats, and seasonal ingredients with a 195-bottle wine list. I just got married today to my wonderful husband and we went here afterwards to celebrate and have dinner. We made a reservation online and it asked for special occasion so we listed newly married. Let me tell you I could not have had a better experience anywhere else! They greeted us with smiles and congratulated us on our marriage. It was our first time coming as well and it was so magical honestly! We had Nick as our waiter and he was hands down on of the best servers I have ever had! He was very attentive but not overbearing. He walked us through the menu and how everything works. Told us that the honor special occasions and would make the night wonderful for us. He offered free bubbly or a dessert and due to me being pregnant we opted for the free dessert. We ordered our entrees. My husband got the stuffed chicken and I had the pork loin and every bit gave us goosebumps. On top of that they surprised us with an appetizer which was presented beautifully and tasted amazing. We were so in awe and couldn’t wait for our entrees. When those came it was more than enough food but we couldn’t stop because every bite was better than the last. We had other waiters coming and congratulating us and make sure our experience was amazing. When it came to dessert one of them had suggested the Doubi crème brûlée so we went with that and low and behold they went above and beyond and gave us a dessert board featuring 4 desserts including the one we asked for. There was more than enough food that we were able to bring home. I love this restaurant. They really made our special day special and would highly recommend them to anyone! Thank you Nick and all the staff for making our experience fancier than we could ever imagine!
My favorite place to eat when I’m in town. I love the ribeye steak. Our server Kyle was very attentive and friendly. We were there to celebrate my husband’s birthday and it was a great experience. This was our second time there and will definitely be back.
We booked Benchmark to celebrate our 14th anniversary. It is very beautiful inside with a lot of comfortable seating. We were sat immediately and offered a toast (which didn’t actually happen and i just remembered). Anyhow, we started with the bacon app and whipped feta. The feta is out of this world delectable, my favorite part of the whole meal actually! For dinner i ordered scallops and they were soooo good! (If you are cheap, you will not like this, as there are three scallops). Love ordered the new york strip and omg was it perfect! The entire experience was phenomenal. Riley was our server and we felt so welcomed and taken care of! They really go above and beyond to facilitate celebration of life events. Strongly recommend!
